Eloise Mumford, Joe Anderson and Leslie Hope represented the stars of The River at the 2011 San Diego Comic-Con. Check out this interview with Mumford, as she talks about what scares her and how the documentary-style footage is very liberating.

As we told you before, Oren Peli‘s Paranormal Activity 3 is coming in October 2011 and we have the first teaser trailer! Peli is executive producer of The River, too.

Evangeline Lilly has been busy. She recently had a baby boy with boyfriend Norman Kali, an ex-Lost production assistant. She is also busy with two Peter Jackon The Hobbit movies, as well as her role as Bailey Tallet in Real Steel, a science fiction film set in the future where super robots box for our entertainment. Seriously. We have the official trailer and photos from the movie, which will premiere this fall.

English actor Shaun Parkes stars in The River as Andreus Jude Poulaine, the other cameraman (alongside Sammy) in the documentary crew. Parkes is an accomplished actor, but a lot of his work may be unfamiliar to Americans, outside of his role as Izzy in The Mummy Returns.

Jeff Galfer will play Sammy Kirsch in The River, but before that he was busy doing photography, commercials, and guest roles in on several TV shows. He was Dr. Burke in All My Children, but was able to play two different characters on the same show!  I prefer him as George below (he starts speaking at 2:24 in).

Jeff Galfer plays Sammy Kirsch

I follow several Twitter accounts associated with The River. Some have followed back including Jeff Galfer who will be our comedic relief on the show. Galfer plays Sammy Kirsch, a member of the documentary camera crew. We know that he is always looking for a good time and he will be the funny guy.

Eloise Mumford was the first to sign on to Oren Peli’s The River. She’s pretty green in the acting world, but you may remember her from Fox’s failed Lone Star. She played the sweet, unsuspecting girlfriend.

Here’s a trailer from Lone Star. It’s a coincidence that the music is from Mumford & Sons (no relation).

Remember how awesome Married With Children was? You watched it because of Christina Applegate and Ed O’Neill? The River‘s Luisana Lopilato was Argentina’s Kelly Bundy in Casados con Hijos, the Argentine re-make of Married. Actually Lopilato played Paola Argento. We’ve got video after the jump.
